"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara suffered a nip slip at Monday night's Emmy Awards after party.

The stunning actress, who wore a strapless Roberto Cavalli dress to the event, accidentally showed off her nipple after "Dancing With the Stars" returning contestant Derek Hough spun and dipped her while they danced in front of thousands of attendees, according to the Daily Mail.

"The two were spinning around the dance floor and she was flying through the air. It was a full five minutes of him spinning her around the dance floor. No one could quite believe what they were seeing, or were they able to take their eyes off of it," a source told US Weekly.

Vergara, 42, attended the Emmys alone and teased that her boyfriend, Joe Manganiello, was left at home due to her that he might upstage her on the red carpet and throughout the event.

Meanwhile, the stunning Colombian actress also received a slew of criticisms after she stood and posed on top of a revolving platform while the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences president Bruce Rosenblum gave his speech on Monday night, IBN Live noted.

"The Emmys took a very troubling turn with a bit that presented Sofia Vergara's body as evidence that TV throughout the years has known how to present viewers with something compelling to look at," Lily Karlin of the Huffington Post wrote.

Meanwhile, Vergara has responded to the sexist criticisms and said, "I think it's absolutely the opposite. It means that somebody can be hot and also funny and make fun of herself."

The actress also hinted that she knows exactly who started the rumors but opted to not name names at all.

Instead, she said, "I think it's ridiculous that somebody started this - I know who she was - who has no sense of humor and should lighten up a little bit."
