California-based camera maker GoPro Inc. unveiled its latest product that will cater to pet lovers, Tech Times reported.
GoPro's cameras are popular among adventure-seekers and action-sports enthusiasts. The cameras, which are usually mounted on their helmets or sports equipment, give viewers an opportunity to watch their breath-taking and high-adrenaline activities.
Now, the action-camera maker has broadened its market with the release of the GoPro Fetch. This latest product is a harness designed for dogs to carry the company's recording devices, according to Engadget.
The Fetch kit's harness comes with two padded camera mounts. It also has a safety strap to prevent the camera from getting lost if it accidentally gets dislodged from the mount.
According to the product's description, the first camera mount, located on the harness' chest area, offers "bone-chewing, digging and front-paw action" footages.
The second mount, which places the GoPro camera on the dog's back, provides "head shots of running, jumping, fetch and more."
The GoPro Fetch harness can be adjusted to fit dogs between 15 to 120 pounds. The chest mount can also be removed for a more comfortable fit. Since the harness is made from washable material, a dog wearing it can safely swim and play around in the mud with the GoPro Fetch.
According to the company's senior director of product management, Paul Osborne, the harness was made to allow dog owners to view the world through their pet's perspective.
"The adaptability and versatility of GoPro cameras make them the perfect device to document life from a dog's point of view," the executive said.
"We designed Fetch to meet the unique needs and usage for pets and can't wait to see the images and videos that owners will capture and share now that they have a mount specifically for their dog," Osborne added.
To capture high quality images, GoPro suggests using the 1080p60, 1440p48, 720p100 or 960p100 SuperView models, PC Mag reported.
The Fetch harness can be purchased online via GoPro at $59.99.
