The Emmy's were Monday night, but combing through these flawless looks needs a full week of beauty recap!
We tapped Jessica Scantlin, Blushington's Head Makeup Artist and Chaz Dean, Celebrity Hairstylist and Founder and Creator of WEN Hair and Body Care, to breakdown the keys to some of our favorite looks this year and tell us how we can make them our very own!
Smokin' hot red head Debra Messing paired her fiery locks with super smoky makeup! "She looked better than ever with a dramatic smokey eye," Jessica agreed.
"A quick tip to this look is line the inside with a kohl black eyeliner on the waterline and smudge it out into the lash line with a charcoal grey shadow above and below and a darker navy into the crease, leaving an almost 'rocker effect,'" Jessica explained to us.
We love these black eyeliners as great ways to replicate Debra's look for your waterline, the secret to smoked out eyes.
Try out any of our picks shown above from Make Up For Ever ($17), Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics ($16), Covergirl ($7), Urban Decay ($20), or Bobbi Brown ($24).
Jessica loved this look from Messing. "I love she did this because the Emmy's are normally conservative on the makeup side and she stood out!"
Celebrity hair stylist Chaz Dean says Debra Messing is flaunting a softer, more modern twist on Old Hollywood Glamour. We couldn't agree more and love the simplicity of this elegant and super sultry throwback style.
Deep side parts always take things up a sexy notch. This look is a definite ode to the original Jessica Rabbit, actress Veronica Lake.
Firstly, Chaz says to blow out the hair with a medium to large round brush to get that soft swooping wave. The severe side part can be accomplished by using a finishing treatment crème. Check out a few of our suggestions above from Bumble & Bumble ($14), John Frieda ($6), Wen Smoothing Gloss, and Carol's Daughter ($24):
Chaz would also recommend you use about 2 or 3 large bobby pins to lock in remaining hair and secure it in place. Finish with volumizing treatment spray to give it extra hold and shine.
