Sarah Silverman has won the 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for her first HBO solo standup comedy special "Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles." But a number of signs suggest that the 43-year-old comedian-writer was stoned during the awards show.
On the red carpet, Silverman showed off her clutch on E!'s "Clutch Cam," and host Giuliana Rancic found her vaporizer pen. After which, the actress then made sure to show off her liquid pot, too, E! News reported.
But the "Wreck-It Ralph" star said that it is legal. "Yeah, I had pot for later in my purse. It's legal. And I don't drink. I like to have a puff as a treat at appropriate times," she said, according to HitFix.
And when she was announced as the winner in the writing category where she was nominated, Silverman had a little trouble getting out of her seat and then dashed up onto the stage barefoot.
While accepting her award, the Bedford, New Hampshire-born actress pulled a Matthew McConaughey and got weird with her speech, E! News noted.
She gave a shout-out to her boyfriend and "Masters of Sex" co-star Michael Sheen, who she called her "love" and "Mr. Fancy Pants Sheen." And at the end of her speech, she said, "And we're just all made of molecules and we're hurtling through space right now."
Anna Kendrick also took to Twitter, writing, "Silverman is Barefoot and #HAF Live your life girl!" "HAF means "high as f--k."
As to why she took of her shoes she said, "Don't tell anyone I'm doing this, because they just hurt. The shoes hurt, they're very nice. They're by Geppetto. I remember that because he made Pinocchio and also clearly designed shoes for the Nazi war effort," according to HitFix.
In addition, Silverman, also opened up about her nude scenes in "Masters of Sex." "I feel like I've suddenly been doing nudity since I turned 40," she said of her role on Showtime's period drama.
"They're just boobs. There as low as they've ever been, but they're also high as they'll ever be from this point on," she added, according to Entertainment Weekly.
