"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest will turn 40 in a few months and what better way to get older than to get a lifetime companion.
Just five months ago, Seacrest took in an adorable Labrador named Georgia, which he said he's currently committed to.
In an interview with People Magazine, he said, "It's a big deal. I've never done this before! Committing to a puppy is me saying to myself, 'You should have a little responsibility...' I'm turning 40 and it's a turning point number. You go, 'Wait, you've got to grow up a little bit.'"
Seacrest also opened up about his more than a decade-long career in the world of TV and radio. To date, he has already established a multi-million media empire that includes "Idol," a daily radio show, a production company, the weekly "American Top 40 countdown," foundations and even a men's clothing line for Macy's.
The hosts' busy schedule though would most likely change in the next couple of days. Not only does he plan to lessen his workload, he also promises to relax more, ET Canada reported.
"Until recently, I felt I shouldn't ever have a day off and felt guilty going on vacation. That was pressure I put on myself. I've gotten a little more relaxed as I approach 40," he said.
Although Seacrest may not necessarily be lucky when it comes to love, he still admitted to being inspired by his parents who have been together for more than 40 years.
"I look at what my mom and dad have had for 40 plus years - a fantastic relationship and great marriage. Someday I'd like that. They're my role models," he explained.
To date, Seacrest is busy with "American Idol" where he is working with returning judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban, Yahoo noted.
When it comes to his love life, Seacrest recently split from Julianne Hough and is currently dating Shayna Taylor.
