Jessie J has revealed that she is moving from London to Los Angeles because she feels her music is more appreciated in the US.
The 26-year-old singer-songwriter has already sold her house in London and purchased a property in Hollywood in preparation for her relocation.
The "Bang Bang" hitmaker is moving to the US because she is sick of all the rumors concerning her love life in her home country.
"In America they see me as a singer whereas here I feel that people don't appreciate my voice. I've dedicated my life to singing and I want it to be taken seriously. Here it seems that all people want to know is what I've had for breakfast and who I'm sleeping with," she told The Mail on Sunday's Event magazine, and as reported by Belfast Telegraph.
Jessie J, who confirmed that she is bisexual in 2011, added that she feels she has disclosed too much about her personal life, most especially about her sexuality to the press.
"Sometimes I don't know when to stop," she said. "Sometimes I should just say nothing, but I can't help myself and make some big statement when saying nothing would be much more appropriate."
The Chadwell Heath, London-born recording artist went on to claim that she thinks people have the wrong impression of what kind of person she really is.
"People expect me to be really aggressive and they're surprised that I can be vulnerable or feel fragile," she said. "I'm probably the least aggressive person you could meet. I'm direct yes, honest yes, but I'm not going to punch you. I am actually... a really sweet girl."
Asked about her bisexuality in an interview on the radio show "In Demand" in March 2011, Jessie J stated, "I've never denied it. Whoopie doo guys, yes, I've dated girls and I've dated boys - get over it," MTV UK reported.
Jessie J's confirmation of her sexuality, however, is seen helpful to young teens, especially for those who are unsure of themselves because of their sexuality and identity, The Guardian reported.
