It's now a family of five for Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum, who welcomed their baby daughter on Aug. 1, according to Us Weekly.
The Foo Fighters frontman and his wife of eleven years are now parents to three beautiful girls, Violet Maye, 8, Harper Willow, 5, and new born Ophelia Saint Grohl.
The singer is said to have named his daughter after a Danish heroine in Shakepeare's famous play "Hamlet."
This month is not all good news for Grohl however, as just a few days after his new child was born, he also lost his journalist father James Grohl, who passed away because of a long-term illness at the age of 75 on Aug. 6.
An August 8 post on the Facebook page of The David Grohl Alley Scholarship Program reads: "Bittersweet news - congratulations David Grohl and Jordyn Blum who have welcomed a new baby girl #3 Ophelia Grohl! The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away!!"
Aside from his very own charity, Grohl recently took part in the popular ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funds for 21 new research projects and services to people suffering from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, E! Online has learned.
"Remember the reason. Create a world without ALS," Grohl declared in the hilarious three-minute "Carrie"-themed video released on Wednesday.
Along his acceptance of the ice bucket challenge, came the artist's nomination for Jack Black, Stephen King and John Travolta to also donate on the cause or pour buckets of ice water on themselves.
Meanwhile, it is not only his new born daughter that has been keeping Grohl busy lately, as the musician is also working on the HBO documentary which will air in October, Daily Mail reported.
After earning critical acclaim last year for his directorial debut in the music documentary "Sound City," the rocker will once again helm "Foo Fighters: Sonic Hoghways," featuring the group recording one track in eight cities such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
