Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez are not an item anymore after the two actors decided to end their short-lived romance this summer.
According to several sources, the 26-year-old hottie and the 36-year-old openly bisexual actress have called it quits after dating for two months, People first reported.
"It was very mutual," one insider said of the recent split.
The two were first spotted getting intimate over the Fourth of July weekend, and the "Neighbors" actor was even seen kissing the "Fast & Furious" star during their Sardina, Italy vacation with their common friends, including Italian entrepreneur Gianluca Vacchi.
At the time, the two were very sweet and intimate towards each other and they even documented their flirty and romantic moments on Instagram.
Their summer romance lasted until early August, when they were spotted dating in Ibiza, Spain, relaxing on a yacht by the beach.
"Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her," an insider close to the two stars told Us Weekly. "He's very into her though, and perhaps more than she's into him."
Apparently, Efron and Rodriguez's relationship may not have been that serious.
"It was never that serious," a source told E! News. "No one ever really thought of them as together, just more of summer fling and nothing serious," another chimed in.
Amid the split, Rodriguez was said to be "in a fantastic mood" this week, and she even went out with her friends for dinner in New York City.
Prior to romancing Efron, Rodriguez was said to have dated supermodel Cara Delevingne.
The reps for both Hollywood celebs are yet to comment on the fresh split.
Meanwhile, the "High School Musical" heartthrob has reunited with one of his costars, Ashley Tisdale, for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Aug. 19.
The two celebs are part of the latest list of Hollywood stars who accepted the challenge that aims to raise awareness for the disease.
Tisdale, 29, and Efron shared their Ice Bucket challenge moments on Instagram. At the end of their challenge, they nominated Robert Pattinson - who as of writing has already accepted the dare - Matthew McConaughey and Eric the Actor, according to Hollywood Life.
