Influenced by Amy Winehouse and her music, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to channel the late British singer.
"Off to Australia. Will be dreaming of my Aussie Monsters," Lady Gaga captioned the black-and-white Instagram selfie she posted on Aug. 17, Sunday.
In the photo, which received more than 124,000 likes, the 28-year-old "Applause" singer is wearing a lacy bra with matching Winehouse-style hairdo and heavy black liner on her eyes.
Also called "Little Monsters," Lady Gaga's fans immediately commented on the photo pointing out the resemblance.
"I guess wearing dramatic eyeliner automatically makes you look like Amy Winehouse...," blancasnow90 wrote.
In July 2011, Winehouse passed away when she was 27 years old due to extreme alcohol intoxication.
Soon after Winehouse's death, Lady Gaga told Rolling Stone the British singer was her only hope when she was up and coming.
"Nobody knew who I was and I had no fans, no record label and everybody, when they met me, said I wasn't pretty enough or that my voice was too low or strange. They had nowhere to put me," Lady Gaga said.
"And then I saw her in Rolling Stone and I saw her live. I just remember thinking 'Well, they found somewhere to put Amy,"' she added.
Currently in the middle of her "artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball" tour, Lady Gaga is set to perform in Australia with six stops starting Aug. 20, US Magazine reported.
In Perth, she was welcomed by around a hundred fans near the entrance to a Burswood hotel.
Lady Gaga refused some gifts from the fans except a bunch of yellow flowers and a stuffed koala, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
On the other hand, the Grammy-winning pop star took selfies with the fans who were later joined by other onlookers and the media.
At the entrance of the hotel, she spent almost 20 minutes not only posing for photographs but also signing autographs and embracing her fans.
