It looks like Ariana Grande decided to clear up her latest comments about her ex-boyfriend before it starts a whole lot of drama. The "Problem" singer has made headlines due to a recent interview with Metro's Guilty Pleasures.
According to E! News, the 21-year-old "Break Free" singer revealed that she is "99.9 percent positive" that a former boyfriend cheated on her with another man.
While the brunette beauty did not name the ex-beau, the headline on the website concerning the story reads "my ex had a gay affair." The title sparked speculation that the singer was hinting about her ex-love Jai Brooks but she immediately denied it.
However, Ariana Grande did tell Attitude that her personal experience inspired her upcoming single "Break Your Heart Right Back," which samples Diana Ross' famous 1980 hit "I'm Coming Out."
She explained, "It's about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy. That's a very fun concept," adding, "Well, originally it was going to be about a boy who cheats with a girl, but then I was like, 'No, I want it to be about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy.'"
The former "Sam and Cat" star continued, "The sample on the song is 'I'm Coming Out,' so I was like, 'How funny and tongue-in-cheek would it be if the song was about him coming out because he cheated on her with another guy?'" She added, "It's a cheeky song, I'm excited for people to hear it."
Grande later revealed to Metro, "I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day! If I found out my boyfriend was gay, I would be like 'OK!' I'd be so relieved."
The "Right There" singer is now rumored to be dating her "Best Mistake" partner Big Sean following his split from fiancé Naya Rivera who married Ryan Dorsey just three months following the end of their engagement.
