Makeup artist Jake Bailey and Covergirl just hooked us up with the 'get the look' breakdown for Katy Perry's new "This is How We Do" music video!

"For Katy's new video we created more looks than ever before in a single video," Bailey said. "All of the looks have a central theme -- bleached brows with strong eyes and pops of color on her lips."

"Brow bleaching is a fun and easy way to completely transform your look. It's a very chic, editorial look and is best complimented with a strong eye or lip to avoid looking washed out. The pale brow draws all the attention to your eyes so it's good to make the most of them."

"Katy has such beautiful, big blue eyes, and this look really makes them pop," the makeup artist continued. "We had a lot of changes to make throughout the shoot, so I designed a look that could be adjusted easily to create entirely new looks without completely redoing the makeup. We are always pressed for time when making these videos!"

First, Jake perfected Katy's complexion using Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation ($9). He buffed a small amount all over her face and neck using a soft, flat-tipped kabuki brush. This spreads the foundation thinly and evenly to create a flawless airbrushed effect.

To create strong eye definition, Bailey began by working LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Black Fire ($7) into Katy's lash line. He lifted the lid a bit so he could access between her lashes and the waterline underneath for the strongest definition.

Bailey then went over the pencil liner with Bombshell Intensity Liner ($8) to create the famous "Katy cat-eye." He added a pair of Katy Perry for eylure lashes in "oh my" and finished the basic eye look with a coat of Bombshell Curvaceous by LashBlast Mascara ($12) to combine her own lashes with the false ones and add extra impact.

For the karaoke look Bailey used LipPerfection Lipcolor in Flame ($8) and Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Fired Up Pink ($4).

"I then adapted the look for the ice cream truck scene by switching the lipstick shade for a fresh pink LipPerfection Lipcolor shade called Bombshell and swapped the eye shadow to a shade called Sapphire Flare," Bailey dished.
