Kimberly Wyatt is in great shape, but what used to motivate her might shock you. The former Pussycat Doll met tremendous pressures to stay thin for the band, and she's still got it five years later! Find out what she had to say about fitness in a new interview!
"There was a lot of pressure from the management label to stay in shape. I knew we were replaceable, so the pressure of wanting to stay in the group kept me in the gym," the blonde beauty told Fitness magazine.
The band used to have group gym sessions before every dance practice, and Wyatt completed circuit training with close mate Ashley Roberts.
Today, the star works out three to five times a week, including hot yoga and more dance and circuit training. She also enjoys volleyball and winter sports.
"Exercise absolutely has to work with my life and be something I can live with," Wyatt explained.
"It's a priority because it's a source of stress relief and fuels my determination. It's all about keeping my workouts mixed and having something to look forward to."
Fellow band mate Nicole Scherzinger also felt extreme pressures to stay fit for the Pussycat Dolls. She revealed in 2012 she struggled with an eating disorder, which contributed to the band's demise.
"I never spoke about it, I never want to play a victim and I never wanted my family to hear about things from me because I think it would break their heart," she told VH1 at the time.
"I guess it was like my addiction. I never did drugs, but kinda doing things to myself was my addiction."
She continued, "It's like when I got off stage, I was on this high, and I'd come back to my room and I'd be alone, so I would just do things. My bulimia was my addiction; hurting myself was my addiction."
