Being a stepmother brought out Kate Bosworth's maternal instincts, and now the actress would like some children of her own! She married Michael Polish last August and celebrates her one-year anniversary Thursday.

Polish, a film director, has 16-year old daughter Jasper from a previous marriage. He met Bosworth while filming "Big Sur" in California, and they dated for one year before tying the knot.

"After ordering pizza for the third time when she first started coming over, I knew I had to learn how to cook because I wanted to nurture her. These maternal instincts kicked in," she told British InStyle.

Bosworth then revealed how she and Polish would like their own brood.

"I know that it's going to be tough, but Michael and I will find humour in it," she explained. "We're already convinced that our kids will do things that are hilarious."

The "Blue Crush" star is promoting her new app Style Thief, which works as Shazam but to "snap and steal" outfits you see on the go. The idea stems from Bosworth's original approach to style.

"Early on, I learned not to let someone convince me to wear something - even the coolest or trendiest thing - if I don't feel it," the blonde beauty said.

She told WWD of the app, "Everyone has fashion envy. Everyone can relate to that feeling of looking at an editorial, for example - or a friend, or the runway, for that matter - wanting to steal something exactly as you're seeing it, or something similar."

"Every time I look at a collaboration, whether it's with product or an online presence or something like an app, it really is the melding of art and commerce, fashion and tech," the star continued.

It was recently announced Bosworth sold her Hollywood Hills home for $2.4 million. It was originally listed for $2.499 million after she purchased for @2.1 million.

She also revealed she never thought she would get married before Polish.

"I never actually thought about what I wanted for my wedding. There are some women who know exactly, from the moment they can speak," Bosworth stated.
