It seems that Ian Somerhalder, 35, has finally moved on from his failed relationship to Nina Dobrev, 25, with new girlfriend Nikki Reed, 26, but it looks like "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 actress "will always love him."

After a few cryptic yet subliminal Instagram post shared by the cast member who plays Elena Gilbert, a source has revealed that the brunette beauty still cares for her ex-boyfriend.

According to Hollywood Life, the pair has remained friendly and professional with one another despite hookup rumors.

The insider revealed, "Nina is over him to the point that she doesn't have to date him ever again, but she will always love him," adding, "She can't hate him because that would make things weird on the show and would make so many things go into shambles. She knows that she can't be unprofessional."

The source went on to say, "There are hundreds of people that make a living off the show and she doesn't want to be known as the person who ruined it," adding, "It will be interesting to see where their friendship goes when the show ends but they are over as a couple and she is dealing with it the best way she can."

Although it looks like Ian Somerhalder has finally found himself in a steady relationship dating Nikki Reed, Nina Dobrev has had her fair share of hookups post split.

Most recently, the actress was spotted kissing "Baby Daddy" actor Derek Theler, 27, at Comic-Con on July 26th which happens to be the same night that Ian and Nikki showed major PDA at an after party.

However, a source revealed that the last thing the former couple is trying to do is rub their new romances in each other's faces.

The insider said, "They are in no way trying to one up each other with hookups and dating people. They are being professional when together and are OK that they are both moving on."
