Could a baby boy be on the way for Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes? Well, the latest report is claiming that the 33-year-old hunk and his 40-year-old pregnant girlfriend are having a son.

According to Hollywood Life, "The Place Beyond the Pines" couple is elated over the news that they are expecting a baby boy.

This will be the first child for the couple and it seems like the new parents are already going out of their way to make sure their son has everything he needs before he arrives. 

Gosling is said to even be putting the baby's crib together himself. A source told OK! Magazine that the walls of the baby's nursery is a neutral color with blue accents. The report also revealed that the couple's assistants have been seen coming into Eva Mendes's house with blue linens and toys.

The pair has decorated the nursery with a monkey theme and has been referring to their unborn baby as a "little monkey." 

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes live an eco-friendly lifestyle and most of the baby's furniture falls into that category with the actress discovering a gorgeous antique rocking chair that was the perfect fit for the decor. 

With their son expected to arrive in September 2014, the actor is already gushing about teaching his boy all about sports. A source close to the actor said, "Ryan is just so excited to have a son," adding, "All he talks about is how he can't wait to teach him baseball and soccer. Eva thinks it's sweet."
