"Pills N Potions" hit maker Nicki Minaj was one of the celebrities who took to Twitter upon learning the news about Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 that crashed in Ukraine to express their sympathy for the victims of the tragedy.
"Such horrible news. My heart goes out to the victims and their surviving families. We take so much for granted. #MH17 #MalaysiaAirlines RIP," Minaj tweeted on July 17.
Shortly after, the 31-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter and actress took a photo of her tweet and posted it on Instagram with a caption, "Today I'm reminded to be thankful for the little things we all take for granted. There really is no "security" in this world. Ultimately, it's you and God. No one else. Appreciate your blessings. Chase your dreams before it's too late. Innocent victims. RIP."
Meanwhile, Minaj finally got a response from Iggy Azalea's basketball star boyfriend Nick Young about her controversial speech during the BET Awards.
Minaj has confirmed she was referring to Azalea when she said, "What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."
"Oh man! You know, it is what it is. I had to deal with the aftermath when she came home. When she got home and was going through her phone and hearing all the things and people talking trash about her, you know I had to be there for her." Young said, according to Take40.
"But you know what? Iggy is doing big things and it's scaring a lot of people! She kind of brushed it off! She don't let it get to her. She's number one right now so what can you do when you are at the top right now? Of course they will come at you!" he added.
Currently, Azalea's song "Fancy" with Charli XCX is at Billboard Hot 100 number one while her song "Problem" with Ariana Grande is at number three, according to Billboard.
On the other hand, Minaj will be working with former rapper Yung Berg for her third studio album entitled "The Pink Print," which is the female version of Jay Z's "Blueprint," Rap-Up has learned.
