It looks like Nina Dobrev is not just a great actress but she is also a great person. "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 cast member sat down with the August issue of Nylon to talk about her perspective on life.
According to E! News, the brunette beauty told the magazine, "I don't like any kind of negativity," adding, "I try to be good to everyone, whether it's a love, a friend, an ex. I'll always try to treat people the way I want to be treated."
Speaking of good treatment, Nina Dobrev's ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, who is also her CW costar seems to think she is doing a good job at being kind. He told the publication, "She always lets me have the last fry."
When she is not shooting her hit supernatural series, the 25-year-old is busy taking on other projects like starring in the big-screen comedy "Let's Be Cops."
Dobrev admitted that she is used to playing dramatic roles so it was pretty "terrifying" for her to switch to comedy.
She explained, "I can get to an emotional place and start crying, but there's pressure when you think you have to be funny...You really have to be uninhibited and fearless."
However, her movie costar Damon Wayans Jr. revealed that the Canadian is indeed quite talented. He told Nylon, "She really knows how to play a scene-and she's down to do anything for a laugh."
Her former love, Ian Somerhalder revealed that she has that same passion when on the set of "The Vampire Diaries."
He explained that his ex-girlfriend "learned how to access the evil in herself-the evil that resides in everyone. She always wants to do her own stunts. Sometimes they let her, sometimes they don't."
Nina Dobrev also admitted that she is still struggling to accept her fame and revealed that having millions of fans doesn't make it any easier.
She confessed, "I really do forget [about that dynamic]," adding, "People feel like they know you when you're in their living room, weekly, for five years. But I always get uncomfortable when people know more about me than I know about them."
However, the thought of being uncomfortable isn't gonna stop her from becoming even more famous. She explained, "Success is the only option-well, the highest level of success is the only option," adding, regarding her plans for the future. "I'm kind of extremist in that way."
