If you are a fan of the CW hit series "The Originals," you may be quite pleased to know that Harlequin just inked a deal with Alloy Entertainment to produce a series of books based on the hit supernatural series.

According to Wetpaint, Mediabistro reported that the six-figure deal has been made for three novels about on the New Orleans based drama. The first book would come out in February 2015, followed by the next book in April 2015 and the final one in June 2015.

The site notes the release dates of the novels coincide with the end of "The Originals" Season 2, which means they wouldn't provide much of a spoiler for the series.

The books are set to be written by Josh Bank and Hayley Wagreich and will focus on the Mikaelson family and whatever supernatural warfare is going on in the NOLA.

It is assumed that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be the main character in the plot. However, the series may provide some insight on what Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Hope  are up to seeing as the typically vicious vampire kindly took her niece into hiding while her brother takes out his enemies so his baby girl can return back to him.

However, as the release dates for the books are still far away you have the option of catching up on season 1 of the series or waiting for its return when "The Originals" season 2 premieres on the CW on October 6th.
