Breathtakingly beautiful actress, classically trained dancer and newest star of ABC Family's groundbreaking hit show "The Fosters" Caitlin Carver, is taking the entertainment world by storm!
Having worked with Beyonce, Pitbull and NeYo, she's now making her way onto television, where she's appeared on 'Glee," 'Southland," "Nashville," and VH1's hit dance docu-drama "Hit The Floor." We caught up with Carver and tapped her for a few of her beauty secrets!
So Caitlin, as a dancer, what's the biggest hair and makeup challenge you have?
I definitely think it's the constant heat applied to my hair and all of the heavy makeup I have to wear while working. Another big challenge would have to be having my long and heavy hair. It can easily get in my face while dancing, ha!
With such an impressive dance resume, have you come up with your own tricks to keep hair and makeup in place?
Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($30) is a great weightless mist that a lot of makeup artists have used on me. I really think it works well, so I recently bought some for myself.
As for my hair, my only real secret is using a lot of hairspray and bobby pins!
What are some of your favorite products to use when you perform?
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer ($10) and Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer ($13) are always a must because they keep my makeup in place and give it a smoother, flawless look.
Is your beauty routine different during your downtime?
Absolutely! During my downtime I keep everything light (very minimal face makeup and naturally dried hair). My face and hair need time to breathe too!
Look out for Part 2 of our chat with Caitlin tomorrow where she dishes on her favorite lip colors and hair care regimen!
