Sofia Vergara was beaming with joy while leaving LA Thursday. The actress celebrated her 42nd birthday at Nobu Malibu with her new boyfriend Joe Manganiello, her niece Claudia, and others. Sounds like a perfect day!
Her niece shared an adorable snap of the pair snuggled up and smiling big. We first heard of this hot new couple earlier this week. They were formally introduced at the White House Correspondent's Dinner, and the "Magic Mike" star visited Vergara in Louisiana for the Fourth of July.
They enjoyed dinner at Lil' Dizzy's café, near where she is filming "Don't Mess With Texas."
"It's very, very new," a source told Us Weekly. "They're having fun and getting to know each other."
"They were very friendly and took pictures with other diners," another source notes, adding "they held each other and kissed several times."
The insider states the stars "shared a table with some regular patrons since the restaurant was so crowded."
"Sofia is Joe's dream girl!" another insider confessed. "He's been smitten with her for years. He's always had a huge crush on her. Things are going well for them so far."
"Sofia had no idea that he had been crushing on her for a while," according to the first source.
Vergara split from fiancé Nick Loeb in May after dating since 2010. She broke the news on her WhoSay profile, and reports suggest former flame Joe Paciello may have got in the way.
"The split was in part due to Chris and the fact he and Sofia are still friends, on some level Sofia will always care about Chris and that drove Nick crazy," a source told Mail Online.
"Nick was jealous because Sofia and Chris are close and she is investing in some of his clubs in Miami. And to be honest, for Sofia, Chris has always been the one that got away."
They continued, "On some level she will always care about him and that drove Nick crazy. Every time they went to Miami, they saw Chris and even though Sofia said there wasn't anything like that between them anymore, I think Nick was jealous of Chris' hold over Sofia."
