Although we will not see the first "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie until 2015 it looks like we can already start looking forward to a sequel.

According to Entertainment Wise, Universal Studios are so convinced that the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel will be such a box office hit that they are already in the works for the sequel "Fifty Shades Darker."

The first movie which wrapped back in February stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.

Since the novel series already has a huge fan following, Universal sees no reason why they shouldn't proceed with a sequel seeing as fans are already begging for a trailer of the first flick which is set to debut in time for Valentine's Day.

Thanks to the huge fan base surrounding James' novel, Universal Studios is said to be making plans for a second movie based on the book "Fifty Shades Darker."

A site called Tracking Board reported that the studio "is actively moving ahead" with the new movie. In theory the first film is believed to easily make back its estimated $40 million budget.

The site reported that the new movie is currently an "open writing assignment (OWA)" which means that they are looking for a new writer.

What is interesting is that despite the novels being three series the actors have only signed on for one movie.

None of the cast has officially signed on for the follow-up and director Sam Taylor-Johnson is not confirmed to return to the franchise either.

Familiar names that will be back include the likes of Kristin Lowe who will return as an executive and Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will team up once to produce the movie.
