Lily Allen is joining the queen of twerk on tour! The British singer was added as the opening act to seven shows during the next leg of Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" tour, which picks up in the U.S. August 1.
"#BBBBANGERZ @MileyCyrus CANT WAIT !!!!! (sic)," Allen tweeted Thursday.
She later wrote, "God help us," in reference to the two touring together.
The controversial singer released her first single in 2006, "Smile," which reached number one on the UK charts. Her debut album "Alright, Still" sold over 2.6 million copies worldwide.
Her second album "It's Not Me, It's You" debuted at number one and was well-received by critics. This time around, she is promoting her latest work "Sheezus."
Cyrus has her own good news to celebrate, as NBC will air a two-hour special titled "Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour," Sunday at 9 p.m. It centers on shows from Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and MEO Arena in Lisbon.
"There are few recording artists with the global success achieved by Miley Cyrus," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "This unique special will offer an exclusive peek on how she engages with her crew and fans at one of her hugely popular concerts."
Allen revealed in May she rejected a role in "Game of Thrones" alongside brother Alfie Allen. She felt the role was too "incestuous," as they would have to film sex scenes.
"I felt uncomfortable," Allen said during a Reddit AMA. "Because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and sh--. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks."
Us Weekly said the episode, titled "The Night Remembers," aired in season two. The role was Yara, played by Gemma Whelan. Allen's character, Theon Greyjoy, gets handsy with the woman while horseback riding, and eventually realizes Yara is his sister.
