Adam Levine may have been named People's Sexiest Man Alive but when it came time to proposing to his fiancé Behati Prinsloo all of his confidence went out the window.

During an appearance on "Live! With Kelly & Michael" featuring guest host and "2 Broke Girls" cast member Beth Behrs, the Maroon 5 lead singer spilled about his nerve wrecking proposal.

According to Just Jared, while chatting with the host on the Monday June 23rd episode in New York City, Adam Levine said that popping the question wasn't as easy as he thought it would be.

The 35-year-old Maroon 5 singer talked about the unforgettable experience. He said, "Doesn't matter how certain you think you are. You still get down on that knee and you just get woozy and you're like, 'I'm doing this. Oh my god.'

"And you can't be confident about it. It's impossible. I'm a confident person, but I got down on that knee and everything changed immediately."

The former blonde haired singer admitted, "I lost my equilibrium. I had to get on the other one."

Without giving too much away about the intimate moment Adam Levine said, "I remembered one thing about it, and I'm not going to share most of it because that's for me obviously. But the one thing that I will say is that I did say at one point, 'Both knees. Like look, I got on both knees.'

"And it didn't sound charming at all," adding, "Both knees and she's like, 'what?'"

Following new of his wedding July date, it was revealed that the singer had plans on apologizing to his ex-girlfriends now that he has found the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

"The Voice" coach's former loves include models Anne Vyalitsyna and Nina Agdal. Levine famously ended his romance with Agdal by ignoring her calls and then breaking the news of his and Behati Prinsloo's engagement through a text message.

An insider revealed, "He apologized for how he treated them." However, another source said that the women aren't too interested in forgiveness at this point.

The second insider said, "They couldn't care less he wants to make it right."
