Melissa McCarthy is changing the Hollywood game. The "Bridesmaids" star explained why she refuses to give up her "self-destructive habits" in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
"I could eat healthier, I could drink less," McCarthy said. "I should be learning another language and working out more, but I'm just always saying, "Ah, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow."'
The "Tammy" actress also recalled her hilarious monologues from "This is 40" and "Bridesmaids," claiming she did not even remember what she said.
"I would like to rear up and jackknife my legs and kick you both in the f***g jaw with my foot bone. That's what I would f***g love. I wish my f***g would go right through your skull," she tells Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in the end credits of "This is 40."
"When I saw that scene, I really truly didn't remember saying most of it," McCarthy told the mag.
We told you earlier this month the star launched her own clothing line, after being rejected by designers for an Oscar's dress.
"When I go shopping, most of the time I'm disappointed. Two Oscars ago, I couldn't find anybody to do a dress for me. I asked five or six designers - very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people - and they all said no," she told Redbook.
This is not the first time McCarthy opened up about her weight struggles in the Hollywood limelight.
"Trying to find stuff that's still fashion-forward in my size is damn near impossible," she admitted to The Hollywood Reporter. "It's either for like a 98-year-old woman or a 14-year-old hooker, and there is nothing in the middle." "[I] always thought I would design women's clothing."
"Then [I] ended up in New York thinking I was going to go to FIT [the Fashion Institute of Technology], and I started doing standup. So how A went to B, I don't know!"
McCarthy teamed up with Daniella Pearl to create plus-size clothing. Her goal was to ensure women of all sizes can look stylish and beautiful. We just love her advocacy!
"Tammy" hits theaters in the US July 2.
