Olivia Wilde is a new mom to son Otis, but she also has a smaller, furry child to tend to...her dog! The actress spoke to O, the Oprah Magazine about family life in a new interview.
"He has an awesome habit of leaving his toys in a perfectly organized pile," Wilde told the mag of her 11 year old pup, Paco. "It looks like I've trained him into submission, but he's naturally orderly and well behaved. I'm praying that my child takes after him!"
We told you in April the couple welcomed their first child, Otis, which Wilde announced on Twitter.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Otis Alexander Sudeikis has LEFT the building! (I'm the building)," she joked.
The actress spoke openly in the past about her pregnancy experience.
"Pregnancy does shed away all of the bulls-t," the engaged actress told Lucky. "It gives you more empathy because you look at everyone and you think, 'You were a baby!' It also makes you feel closer to other females."
"Pregnancy brings you into this sort of commune-you feel connected to women in a way that you never have. Not to mention the mother-baby bond that forms: He's moving around in there and no one else can tell-it's a little secret friendship."
She revealed what you can find in her closet, and talks hubby Jason Sudeikis' shoe obsession.
"If you were to peek inside my closet, you'd think I was a newscaster or a politician - I have dozens of blazers," Wilde said. "I always buy them, thinking they'll pull together an outfit, but then never wear them. My assortment rivals Rachel Maddow's."
When it comes to Sudeikis, "He's a sneakerhead with about 200 pairs of Air Jordans. They make up an extraordinarily colorful wall in our apartment. Guests always expect me to have too many shoes!"
Wilde explained she learned how to paddleboard from Jon Favreau with Daniel Craig to stay in shape while shooting "Cowboys and Aliens."
"Daniel sank because he was too muscly, but my girl parts helped me balance! Jon gave me a board as a parting gift, and it's become a lovely pastime - like surfing with training wheels."
To calm down, the "Rush" actress enjoys a great dance party.
"I fell in love with the music as a kid and was the girl who had Bob Marley posters in her boarding school dorm room. Whenever it's sadville outside, I'll blast Toots & the Maytals to create my own tropical island paradise."
