What a scary situation! We told you the other day an intruder broke into Sandra Bullock's residence while she was home, and now the DA says he spent more than an hour inside and owned an illegal machine gun, though he did not have it with him at the time.
TMZ confirms police arrested 39-year old Joshua Corbett after responding to a "hot prowler" call at 6:30 a.m. on Monday. Bullock was issued an emergency protective order, which is typically only issued when the victim fears the suspect.
No property was stolen though Corbett was found rummaging through her belongings. He entered through the back door of the house and was arrested inside. The star was not harmed during the incident.
It does not appear the two have any history, though sources suggest Corbett is "obsessed" with the "Gravity" actress. It was even suggested he kept diaries about Bullock.
"She is unharmed and is fine," her rep told PEOPLE.
Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall told CNN that Corbett was charged Tuesday with felony counts of residential burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun. He pleaded not guilty and his bond was set at $185,000.
If convicted, Corbett faces seven years in prison.
The incident occurred after Bullock received the "Decade of Hotness" award at Spike TV's Guy's Choice Awards. She dressed as her "Miss Congeniality" character to receive the antler trophy and deliver her hilarious acceptance speech.
"I feel like I'm at my funeral. Decade of Hotness...My question was what decade? I have several under my belt. It should really be Decade of Hot Mess. That I can own and I do that well and I'm still convinced I'm up here because someone dropped out and they needed someone quickly and we know I'm home on Saturdays," Bullock teased.
"I'd like to thank the Guys Choice Awards for this-the horns. How many people hold this up and say, 'I'm so horny!' I'd like to thank you for this honor. This is an amazing slingshot for a 49-year-old. I'd like to thank every hairstylist and makeup artist for creating the illusion because I didn't look like this a couple hours ago...I'm just one of the luckiest girls I know and three of the people I'm just so crazy about are right next to me."
We are so glad to hear this is being taken care of! Do you think he should be convicted? Sound off in the comments section below!
