Now Gwyneth Paltrow Is Saying Water Does Not Like Bad Vibes

The way Gwyneth Paltrow phrases things is...well...questionable. But does she seriously think negativity in the air can change the structure of water. While this isn't nearly as offensive as comparing internet trolls to war or saying mothers with 9-5 jobs have it easy, it is certainly frightening.

"I am fascinated by the growing science behind the energy of consciousness and its effects on matter," she wrote on her GOOP website. "I have long had Dr. Emoto's coffee table book on how negativity changes the structure of water, how the molecules behave differently depending on the words or music being expressed around it."

She continues on to share Dr. Emoto's theory through Dr. Habib Sadeghi, which according to The Daily News was criticized for violating the basic laws of physics.

Dr. Sadeghi explains, "In his experiments, Emoto poured pure water into vials labeled with negative phrases like "I hate you" or "fear." After 24 hours, the water was frozen, and no longer crystallized under the microscope: It yielded gray, misshapen clumps instead of beautiful lace-like crystals."

"In contrast, Emoto placed labels that said things like "I Love You," or "Peace" on vials of polluted water, and after 24 hours, they produced gleaming, perfectly hexagonal crystals."

He conluded with, "Emoto's experiments proved that energy generated by positive or negative words can actually change the physical structure of an object. The results of his experiments were detailed in a series of books beginning with "The Hidden Messages in Water," where you can see the astounding before and after photos of these incredible water crystals."

Paltrow used the same outlet to announce her "conscious uncoupling" from Coldplay front man Chris Martin.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote. " We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner. Love, Gwyneth & Chris."
