It looks like Sofía Vergara and her fiancé Nick Loeb have decided to split. The "Modern Family" season 5 star announced the break up news via her WhoSay account on Saturday.
According to E! News, the couple who got engaged in July 2012 quietly ended their engagement but the ABC star chose to share the news herself in an effort to avoid a media frenzy and lies from the various outlets.
She wrote, "Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart.
"We have been having too many problems with having to figure out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it's been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now."
Sofia Vergara is currently in the midst of shooting on location in New Orleans for her upcoming untitled film with Reese Witherspoon. The actress seemed to be in a good mood as she posted behind-the-scenes photos from the set to her WhoSay page.
Back in October 2013, the 41-year-old Columbian beauty talked about her upcoming nuptials.
She explained, "We've only been engaged one year and I have to plan a very big wedding, so it's going to be when I have time to not only to plan the wedding, but then take time off after the wedding because it's going to be big."
Fast forward to February 2014, she admitted to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she's been too busy to "even plan anything."
Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb last stepped out together during the 100th Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.
