'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: Author George R.R. Martin Reveals Cast Should Fear For Characters' Lives, Says 'No One is Safe' After HBO Pushes Rape at Purple Wedding Post King Joffrey Murder

Now that we are quaintly enjoying the return of "Game of Thrones" season 4 to HBO, it is time to prepare for the worst.

Even though King Joffrey may be dead and gone it has be come clear that the rest of the cast should fear for their character's lives as well.

According to Entertainment Wise, George R.R. Martin has revealed a huge spoiler that "no one is safe" on the hit fantasy drama.

Even though the books let fans know which characters will get killed and which ones are safe, the author admitted that despite his decisions when writing the novel, the showrunners of the television adaptation have different ideas.

In an interview with Conan O'Brien, Martin said, "As bloody as I am, [showrunners] David Benioff and Dan Weiss are always turning things up to eleven.

"So really no-one is safe."Even the book readers who say, 'Well, this character is safe, he's not in any trouble because he's still in book five', may have an unpleasant surprise."

HBO has proved this already following the murder at the Purple wedding when Cersei was raped right by her son's body rather then consenting to a consensual encounter.

While most of his thoughts have been translated onscreen from the novels, Martin admitted that sometimes he is not always happy with HBO's decisions to deviate from the original tale.

He explained, "I do kind of squeal a bit when I get the outline, 'Wait a minute, wait a minute, he's not dead in the books, he's still alive in the books'."

When the author was asked if he had mixed feelings about kill the wildly hated King Joffrey he confessed, "Well, I killed him years ago in the books so at that time, we didn't have actually have an actor playing him. Jack Gleeson who played Joffrey was the nicest guy in the world.

"I think it's a good thing that I wrote the books before we started making the show because when you make the show and you actually meet the actors, then it's harder to kill them."
