Jennifer Lopez stuns on her "AKA" album cover in a red-hot, bondage looking get-up. This is her 10th studio album in 15 years, which helped her obtain the Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards!
"Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation," Larry Klein, producer of the Billboard Music Awards, told E! News. "We are thrilled to honor her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage."
The "American Idol" judge is the first woman to receive this award. Past victors include Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Neil Diamond.
Billboard states the Icon Award is the highest honor, recognizing "lifetime achievement and an artist's remarkable and enduring contribution to popular music."
"Music has always been my first love," Lopez explains. "As a girl who grew up in the Bronx, I listened to everything. In my career I have always made music that is a reflection of me and where I am in my life. I do what I feel and do things that feel authentic to me."
She then added, "I am a lot of different things and I do a lot of different things. I love hip-hop, pop, dance music and R&B. And on this, my 10th album release, I have created a collection of songs that make me feel good and make me feel happy."
The Billboard Music Awards will be held on May 18 at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena. Lopez will perform with Pitbull, who she frequently collaborates with, and debut this year's FIFA World Cup anthem, "We Are One (Ole Ola)."
Lopez's lastest album "AKA" drops June 17 via Capitol Records and includes hits "I Luh Ya Papi" and "First Love."
