Another day, another issue for Justin Bieber.
After arriving yesterday in LAX after spending time in Japan, the crooner was detained by airport security for four hours, according to reports.
Hollywood Life reports that the Biebs and his entourage arrived back in the US at 1 p.m.; however his entourage, baggage, and car were still there at 4 p.m. The "Boyfriend" singer was released by TSA after four hours of questioning.
"The 2001 Patriot Act, signed by former President George Bush and extended by current President Barack Obama, gives custom officials the broad authority to flag travelers arriving from a foreign country when they have an active criminal case or a conviction," LA attorney Mychal Wilson explained. "Presumably, Justin Bieber is on the Homeland Security watch list due to the various pending criminal charges against him."
Sources told TMZ it was a result of legal woes, featuring the egg throwing incident, a DUI in Miami, and a misdemeanor assault case in Canada.
Upon leaving, Bieber posted a picture sporting a fedora and flannel vest, captioned "all smiles."
Manager Scooter Braun took to Twitter to weigh in on the incident, stating, "That was a long day. Bring on Friday."
Bieber recently caused controversy during his time in Japan with mother Pattie Mallette and friends. After unknowingly posing in front of the Yasukini shrine, the singer apologized for offending his fans.
This string of events arrive on the heels of reports that there is trouble in paradise with girlfriend Selena Gomez. The heartthrob is now facing allegations that he cheated on her with friend Kylie Jenner!
Gomez unfollowed the Biebs on social media along with the Jenner sisters, though it has not been confirmed if she ever followed the reality stars in the first place.
