Miley Cyrus Makes Time Magazine’s '100 Most Influential People'

It's no secret Miley Cyrus has been on a roll, and it looks like hard work pays off! The "Bangerz" artist has been named one of Time's most influential people, alongside Pharrell Williams and Carrie Underwood!

It is no doubt the former Disney star was one of the most talked about celebrities within the last year.

Her godmother Dolly Parton sang praises for the controversial artist, crediting her transition and songwriting ability, labeling her "the pop provocateur."

"She knows what she's doing," Parton states. "She was very proud of the work she did as Hannah Montana, but people were gonna (sic) leave here there forever. And she was just smotherin' and chokin' it. So she felt she had to do something completely drastic. And she did. She made her mark, she made her point, and more power to her."

"The girl is smart," she speaks of Cyrus' music. "And she doesn't have to be so drastic. But I will respect her choices. I did it my way, so why can't she do it her way?"

Cyrus raised eyebrows during her now infamous 2013 MTV VMA performance with Robin Thicke. Between highly sexualized music videos and social media presence, the pop star certainly shed her "Hannah Montana" image.

Her change also included her split from "The Hunger Games" star fiancé Liam Hemsworth. The pair co-starred together in 2010's "The Last Song."

Cyrus was recently on tour promoting her latest album "Bangerz." The songstress cancelled upcoming shows to rest up after "an extreme allergic reaction" to the antibiotic cephalexin. Tour is said to resume Aug. 1 in Uniondale, NY, but will continue in Amsterdam May 2.

What an honor for the actress and singer! Are you surprised to see Cyrus on Time's 100 Most Influential People list? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
