Following the shocking "Scandal" season 3 finale fans were left with plenty of questions. Lucky for us the series' creator Shonda Rhimes answered a few questions during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.
According to E! News, the last episode ended with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and Jake (Scott Foley) leaving Washington on a private plane to stand in the sun together and start a new life.
Little did they know Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) had their fate planned out all along, not only did Olivia's father arrange the murder of Fitz's son, Jerry but he also helped orchestrate the downfall of B613 while Jake was in command, proving that everyone is indeed his puppet.
But fans were curious to know if Washington's fixer could truly leave the world of politics behind as well as Olivia Pope and Associates.
Rhimes told Kimmel, "She did quit her job, you might watch her on the beach somewhere. We'll have to see next season...
"There's that last look after she chooses to ignore the phone call from the White House when she sort of says she's sure to Jake and then she looks out the window when you can really see that she's not so sure."
Fans of the show are not so sure that they will see Harrison in season 4 as we saw the gladiator figure out the Rowan pope was behind everything just as secret service agent Tom pointed a gun at him.
So is Harrison dead? Rhimes said, "You know I can't tell you that," but their is a possibility seeing as Columbus Short has been making headlines following a violent arrest and allegedly abusing his wife.
Shonda Rhimes killed off a character during season 3 so we know she isn't opposed to killing off another one.
However, she admitted, "I think it's always really hard to kill off somebody who has been on the show for a long time, who you've gotten to know. You're obviously closer to some than others, but it's hard."
She added, "That call is always the worst call to make. I do it myself. You really have to have the topic sentence ready...The first you have to say is you're going to die and here's how and we love you."
She confessed that some actors are bitter when the decision is made to cut their story lines. She explained, "Some people get upset. I mean, people love their jobs," adding, "For me, it's never easy to say goodbye to a character, it's really always about a story...
"I feel like the grim reaper sometimes...All the actors sort of know that's a possibility and it's just not fun to do."
