'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie News Reveals Sequels Delayed: Cast Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan's Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey Scrapped in 'Fifty Shades Darker' and 'Fifty Shades Freed'

Could the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie franchise be over before it even started? Well new reports are claiming that a second movie based on E.L. James' erotic novels has been scrapped before the first film has even hit theaters.

According to Entertainment Wise, several online news outlets reported that the first film which is due out in February 2015 may not have a sequel anytime soon.

When the movie's producer, Dana Brunetti was asked when the sequel would begin shooting he said, "I have no idea. I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut.

"We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next, may be a long way off."

However, fans should keep in mind that "Fifty Shades of Grey" recently wrapped shooting and director Sam Taylor Johnson along with her team are swamped in the post-production stage.

Also Universal Pictures and Focus Features have already secured the right to all three of James' books so it very likely that we will see a total of three movies based on the trilogy but we must keep in mind that the additional movies depend on the success of the first one.

The first footage of the highly anticipated film was revealed last month at CinemaCon but was said to be more so on the PG-13 side.

Let's just hope that the first movie will prove to be a box office hit so we can see Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson continue to tell the story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed."
