Even though we have some time before "Orange is the New Black" returns to Netflix we have a juicy spoilers for fans of the hit series.
There was much speculation as to whether or not Laura Prepon's character Alex Vause would return to the series and we can confirm that the convict will be behind bars for a little while longer.
According to Us Weekly, initially reports claimed that Alex would only appear in four episodes of season 2 however, the creator of the series Jenji Kohan hinted that her presence would be felt for "most" of the upcoming season.
Kohan confessed, "Yes, yes, she is coming back," when speaking of the former "That '70s Show" actress at the Writers Guild Awards on Saturday, February 1st.
He continued, "Not the whole season, but...you'll see her for most of it."
"Orange is the New Black" is based on the memoir of Piper Kerman and adapted by Jenji Kohan. The show stars Taylor Schilling as a young, bisexual woman who is sent to prison for carrying drug money for her ex-girlfriend, Alex (Prepon).
The show was renewed for a second season last summer, weeks before it even premiered on Netflix.
When the series returns, fans can look for a shift in the storyline from focusing on Piper to branching out and learning about other characters in the prison like fan favorites Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) and Red (Kate Mulgrew).
Kohan revealed, "It's becoming much more of an ensemble," adding, "As much as I love Piper and Taylor and her journey, I think people are interested in everybody's journey."
