Macklemore and Ryan Lewis 'Same Love' 2014 Grammy Awards Performance Emotionally Unites Couples with the Help of Madonna and Queen Latifah [VIDEO], Keith Urban and More Fight Back Tears

Sunday was such an eventful night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as a legendary collaboration took place at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

The likes of pop icon Madonna graced the stage alongside rapper Macklemore and Ryan Lewis as well as vocalist Mary Lambert to sing the marriage-equality anthem "Same Love," according to Us Weekly.

During the memorable performance Queen Latifah came out on stage to officiate the weddings of 33 couples, including Ryan Lewis' sister Laura.

Madonna entertained the audience with an excerpt from her song "Open Your Heart" as the newlywed couples danced in the aisles celebrating their union of love.

As the couples began to exit the auditorium many stars tried not to weep as Keith Urban was seen wiping back tears from his face.

Fans may remember back in 2013 at the VMAs when former "American Idol" Jennifer Hudson joined the "White Walls" artists on stage for a duet of the song.

Either way, the performances received standing ovations from the crowd.
