Ellie Goulding 'Burn' Singer Talks Royal Wedding Says Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are 'Lovely People,' 'Lights' Artist Reveals Struggle with Prince George and Drunk Prince Harry

Ellie Goulding decided to talk about her friends Prince William and Kate Middleton in the latest issue of Marie Claire U.K.

The "Burn" singer couldn't help but gush over her gig performing at the couple's royal wedding in 2011 which was a well secret until the big day arrived.

According to E! News, the British star told the publication, "In the weeks before, everyone I know was talking about the wedding, and I was sat like [puts knuckles in her mouth], trying not to say anything," adding, "I kept it to myself for so long-but no one would have believed me anyway."

The 27-year-old revealed that on the royal wedding day she got a chance to speak with Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William. She said, "I talked to William and Kate quite a bit," adding, "They're just a really awesome couple, lovely people, so I understand why people are fascinated by them.

"It was a really beautiful night," she continued, "But then, I haven't been to many weddings."

Over the summer, Ellie Goulding opened up about the pressure and struggle to try and find the perfect gift for royal baby Prince George.

At the time she said, "I fully intend to send William and Kate a gift for him, but I have no idea what to get," adding, "What do you give someone who has everything? Still, they're truly lovely people so I imagine they'd be grateful for anything."

Although she admitted that she hasn't seen the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge their wedding she has ran into Prince Harry.

She confessed, "I saw Harry, though, three months ago when I performed for a charity event of his. I played quite late in the evening so everyone was a bit drunk!"
