Alec Baldwin, former "30 Rock" co-star may soon be getting a weekly talk show on MSNCB.
Baldwin, 55, "would bring his famously liberal point of view to a show," according to the Los Angeles Times.
A talent representitive said a deal is believed to have already been signed, although an MSNCB spokesperson declined to comment on the Mediaite report, which originally broke the news.
Baldwin has been an outspoken left-wing advocate for years, and would make him a favorite of liberal viewers, and would be sure to annoy Conservatives who watch the station.
Baldwin, however, has come under fire for a lot of recent actions. He was attacked for calling a reporter "a toxic little queen." Openly gay reporter Anderson Cooper said that if a conservative had said the same thing, he would have been viewed as homophobic, but because of his liberal beliefs, Baldwin got a free pass.
Baldwin also was involved in a 2007 scandal when he made headlines for a now infamous voice message berating his then-11-year-old daughter as a "rude, thoughtless little pig." He later apologized.
It seems he is destined to either be in the news, or perhaps commenting on it if he does in fact have the show at MSNBC.
The show would air at 10 p.m. on Fridays.
