Amber Tamblyn IMDB Cred to Include 'Two And A Half Men,' David Cross' Wife will Play a Lesbian in CBS Comedy

Amber Tamblyn has just been cast on CBS' "Two And a Half Men" to play Jenny Harper, the illigetimate lesbian daughter of Charlie Harper (formerly played by Charlie Sheen).

The actress is set to be in at least five episodes during the season 11, and might even become a series regular, according to Yahoo.  Tamblyn's charachter will show up at the home of Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher) and Alan Harper (Jon Cryer) looking for her dad.  And if the shows viewers like her enough, the plan is for her to move in with the two, replacing Angus T. Jones' character, Jake Harper.

Jones, 19, is reportedly planning to go to college and possibly start a career in music.

According to CBS, Tamblyn's character Jenny moved to L.A. to pursue acting and connect with what's left of her family, says The Daily Mail.

"Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre spoke at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour and explained why they wanted to add a woman to the show.

"I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective," he explained. "The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime."

"Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That's a big job," Lorre added. "The idea of the character brings a healthy amount of decadence, which is always fun on Two and a Half Men."

Tamblyn got married to "Arrested Development" actor David Cross last year.  She is best known for her roles in CBS' "Joan of Arcadia," FOX's "House, M.D." and in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" series.
