Ryan Seacrest Twitter: New Production is NBC Game Show 'Million Second Quiz'

Ryan Seacrest is set to host a new NBC game-show "Million Second Quiz."  The show is a two-week game-show in which contestants live in a three-story, hourglass-shaped structure in Manhattan and play a quiz show that lasts a million seconds, roughly 11.5 days.

The show will air for one hour most nights between September 9-19, when contestants compete, and viewers can play along at home and enter the game through tryouts, according to USA Today

"I'm so excited to be hosting this new live game show on NBC, as it's really a fun and different format that I believe will generate lots of fans across different platforms," Seacrest said in a statement.

He also tweeted about the show:

Seacrest is best known for his "American Idol," "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," and his syndicated radio show.  But he also produces "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and several other reality shows for E!, Bravo, Telemundo, and the new Esquire Network.  It is also rumored he is a candidate to eventually succeed Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

Auditions for The Million Second Quiz will be held in Washington, D.C. (Aug 10). Boston (Aug. 14), Philadelphia (Aug. 18), and New York City (Aug. 24.).  Details can be found at millionsecondquizcasting.com.
