'Glee' Season 5 2013: FOX Show To Welcome At Least Two New Characters After Cory Montieth Death, DETAILS on Casting Changes

"Glee" will welcome at least two new faces when it returns for its fifth season, according to E! Online.

The FOX hit show is forging ahead after the untimely death of one of their most beloved stars, Cory Montieth, who died from an overdose on Saturday. Before the tragic news broke, executives sent out casting calls for the roles last week and plan on continuing with the search.

The first new role is a "cute and quirky" twentysomething named "Jenny," who will be a recurring guest star and make her debut in episode two, reported E! The second is a new African-American student at McKinley High, and both roles will require actors with vocal talents.

As for other changes, Mark Salling, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr. and Dianna Argon will not return as regulars, but could be potential guest stars.

The upcoming season cast members include Jacob Artist, Becca Tobin, Blake Jenner and reported fiancee, Melissa Benoist, who all appeared in season four as "New Directions" members.

The season five premiere is set for Sept.19. There are no current plans to change that in the wake of Montieth's death, for the network has yet to make a formal annoucement.

Hollywood Life reported that the first new character will most likely join the characters in New York City, but the second will be apart of the Glee Club in Ohio.
