After Dwight Howard Leaves the Lakers for Rockets, Kobe Bryant Declares War? Stars Use Twitter, Instagram as Reported Battle Ground

The Los Angeles Lakers are no strangers to championships or controversy, with Dwight Howard's recent exit announcement stirring trouble with Kobe Bryant.

The Staples Center crowd bid farewell to the 6'11' all-star center, who is heading to the Houston Rockets next season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He posted a picture of himself in a Rockets jersey on Twitter, and  tweeted about his next destination as the "right place for him" before wishing the best to the Lakers franchise and fans on Friday.

Despite having a tumultuous run in L.A., his decision was quite a shock and surprise to many people including Bryant, who had a difficult, on-the-court relationship with Howard.

The Lakers' all star responded to Howard's news in an unusual way that appeared to be an insult. He posted a photo of himself and teammate, Pau Gasol on Instagram, along with the words, "#vamos #juntos #lakercorazon #vino," meaning "we go, together, laker heart, wine."

Bryant, along with Gasol, made their displeasure and angry known by unfollowing Howard on Twitter, reported HR. The teammates appear to be cutting all ties with Howard as if he is disgraced in his eyes.

But, according to Bleacher Report, Gasol has since re-followed Howard. The incident goes to show how influential social media is in our lives, they reported, though the situation was "comical." Bryant's subtle, yet effective "dead to me now" actions against Howard are proof that next season's games between the Lakers and Rockets will be quite heated, Bleacher also reported.
