Julianne Moore Becomes Face of Reed Krakoff's Fall Campaign, Designer Breaks from High-Fashion Models and Leaves Coach Next Year

Julianne Moore is the new face of Reed Krakoff''s fall campaign, showing off her fiery-red hair and fashionable clothing in new ads.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Krakoff just shot Moore on location at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy on Fifth Avenue in New York City. She was the perfect choice to represent his signature brand in a campaign to debut in fashion and lifestyle glossies in September, Krakoff said.

"I have admired Julianne' extraordinary talent and unique style for many years," the designer said, "and fortunate enough to get to know her on both a professional and personal level. [She embodies many of the brand's values,] the combination of personal strengh, confidence and sublt sensuality, which is strongly reflected in the imagery."

Moore is no stranger to starring in front of fashion's lens. She is quite a veteran, amassing campaigns with Bulgari, Talbots and the Fedoras for Fairness Initiative. Many insiders deem her to be one of fashion's favorite actresses.

Her relationship with the Krakoff brand has been years in the making. She has regularly attended the designer's shows since 2010, reports New York's The Cut. This particular combination of actress and designer was a first for Krakoff, who specializes in recruiting high-fashion models like Julia Nobis, Stella Tennant and Karen Elson to front his campaigns.

Landing the prestigious campaign is a coop for both Moore and Krakoff, who is in the process of breaking away from the Coach brand, according to New York. The designer will leave his post as CEO and president next year, but not before creating an appealing spread starring Moore as his muse in Polaroid-esque pictures, which are "artsy and pretty," reported New York.
