In case you missed it, Jennifer Lopez gave quite a controversial performance on "Britain's Got Talent" this week. Recently the singer decided it was time to address the performance and defend herself against critics.
During an interview with Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, Lopez defended her appearance and explained her performance to the DJ.
According to Hello! Magazine the "Live it Up" singer said, "I think people are so raunchier than I am. I feel like I'm so tame.
"We wore it at Billboard (Music Awards), and 'Britain's Got Talent' said they wanted exactly the same. So I thought I'd wear the outfit in black. No-one complained at Billboard.
"I think a lot of people just like to talk. It was a body suit. A lot of performers wear that these days. It is standard stage clothes, I'm not going to walk down a street like that!"
The singer went on to explain that her outfit was beneficial for her as far as preventing further injuries, "Luckily with that outfit, which is why I wore it on Billboard and on Britain's Got Talent, is that I can wear a very small knee pad underneath, because I have those tall boots.
"I was so happy that I could wear it as I was very raw from rehearsals and had cut it open the day before."
During her performance Lopez slid crouch first towards the camera and at one point she lied on her back and fanned her legs in the air in an open-close motion.
The Daily News revealed that the star wore an "outlandish leather leotard outfit complete with feathered sleeves and thigh high black boots. The costume - a black snakeskin bodysuit made with marabou and ostrich feathers - resembled the red twin creation from NYC designers The Blonds."
