We know you been jonesing for more on the highly-anticipated movies that will be in theaters this summer.
So here is the scoop on several hot films between now and Labor Day, encompassing everything from fast-paced stories about Marvel superheroes to zany buddy comedies and sequels. Buckle up now for the ride!
Seats are sure to fill for the Wolfpack's return in "The Hangover Part lll," but do not expect a big rush to the alter or a debauchery-full bachelor party, according to Movie Insider. This one is all about the thrill of the road trip, full of unexpected surprises,a reunion between Stu and Jade, and weird bumps in the road. Ride along with the pack on Thursday, May 23.
On Friday, May 24, both Disney's "Epic" and the sixth installment in the "Fast & Furious 6" franchise will arrive on screen. "Epic", which stars Beyonce as Queen Tara, is an animated take on the age-old battle between good and evil, with a forest as the backdrop and a slew of magical trips to a secret universe. On the other hand, "Fast & Furious 6" revs up with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and our favorite band of drivers trying to pull off the heist of the century in Europe, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on their trail.
And on May 31, the father-son duo of Will and Jaden Smith are left battling to survive in the sci-fi thriller, "After Earth."
June promises to bring equal doses of funny and scary. First, we blast off with the Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson duo comedy, "The Internship," which the twosome land a Google internship while battling tech-savvy geniuses. Interesting, to say the least. But looking for a scare?
Try the Ethan Hawke-led "The Purge," which boosts a truly insane storyline with people allowed for 12 hours to legally commit all types of crime including murder. This must mean that its locking-the-doors time for people everywhere, but something terrible and eerie is bound to happen.
After that, we have a funny ensemble comedy with "This Is The End" including Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill. The premise: the group of funnymen are all stuck in a Los Angeles house together after disaster strikes the world. This laugh riot hits theaters on June 12.
Then, Clark Kent's journey to becoming Superman is on deck in "Man of Steel" on June 14. This time around, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane play his parents, and Amy Adams stars as the famed Lois Lane.
The month ends with Pixar's "Monsters University," Brad Pitt's "World War Z," Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy's healthy heap of comedy in "The Heat" and "White House Down," a gritty suspense thriller starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx.
July heats up our screens with second-time sequels "Despicable Me 2," "Smurfs 2," and "Grown Ups 2." We will see a melting-pot mixture of everything from the sci-fi thriller "Pacific Rim" to Disney's version of a western with the Johnny Depp-led "Lone Ranger." And we cannot forget "The Wolverine," with X-men's most iconic character heading to Japan to find himself on July 26.
The summer sails off in August with the imaginative and futuristic world of "Elysium" starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis as a pot dealer to surburban moms in "We're the Millers," and raw action thriller of "2 Guns" with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg teaming up as undercover federal agents.
