Talent, marketable appeal and ability to cheer and steer singing hopefuls to greatness seem to be the makings of a solid coach on NBC's "The Voice."
This season's new addition, Shakira appears to have all that and more. But, is the "Hips Don't Lie" vocalist going to say goodbye to the network reality show?
The answer could be "yes." Reports have surfaced Tuesday about the singer leaving, with her swan song being the season 4 finale on June 18, according to Music-News. In equally interesting news, former coach Christina Aguilera could be returning.
Both blonde songstresses are mothers, but reportedly, Shakira is having a difficult time in juggling both recording an eighth album and raising a newborn. After giving birth in January, Shakira began preparing for the show immediately. And these circumstances could be the reason why she could be exiting stage left in a few weeks.
On the other hand, Aguilera left the show after three seasons to promote her "Lotus" album, which came out in November. The rumor is that she is being courted again with a seven-figure salary that nearly mirrors what she earned last season.
It's hard to determine both singer's fates with the show right now for sure or how the panel will evolve later with judges balancing busy careers and personal lives. It could be anybody's guess at this point.
