Once upon a time, mega visible actress Jennifer Aniston's hairstylist, Chris McMillian was flying high -- on drugs.
According to E! Online, the now-sober McMillian recently confessed to having been under the influence when he created the iconic 90's "Rachel" crop that Aniston sported in her first season on the hit show, Friends. Known simply in certain circles as "The Rachel," the shoulder-length, layered cut is still a fixture in the minds of fans everywhere 20 years later.
"I'm 14 years sober, so I feel safe enough to say that," he told WWD. HIs shocking but hilarious confession comes right on the heels of Gwyneth Paltrow's public joke about having been "usually stoned." Whether the two disclosures are directly related remains a mystery.
What is clear and interesting is Aniston's dislike for the hairstyle. But she still works with McMillian after all this time so her problems with the haircut did not sour their professional relationship. In fact, Aniston is building a business empire from that signature hairdo.
The golden-haired actress is co-owner of the haircare brand Living Proof, according to Refinery 29.
This week, the brand launched their "Good Hair Day" video series, which Aniston, McMillan and some regular women talk about why hair is so important to them.
Aniston's hair is super important to her. As a teenager, whe was "obsessed" with Valerie Bertinelli and wanted to wear her hairstyle. But after taking a picture of the hairstyle to a salon stylist, she ended up with an awkward-looking mullet. "That was a big bummer," she said.
She even dreams about doing others' hair. "I want to do Anna Wintour's hair for a movie," she said. She looks up to Kate Moss and Gisele Bunchen as hair role models. Could Aniston's hair dreams come true? Sound off below!
