Showcasing the RTW Fall/Winter Collection at the Paris Fashion Week, March 5, Valentino brought on a delicate essence to the runway with its brand new designs in lace and fur.
The show started with simple dresses in shades of black and blue. The dresses were in solid colors but the lacey and intricately designed collars and cuffs added a vintage charm to them.
Valentino's designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, called the designs an "intimate point of view." The brand "wanted to capture women in a private moment," the duo told WWD.
The Italian brand showcased vintage designs this season in the form of printed dresses, A-line skirts, high necks and slim sleeves.
A model was seen dressed in a furry cape style off-white coat paired with a white shirt and similar furry skirt. Another model sported an off white cape style trench coat that looked trendy as well as elegant paired with a grayish top and trousers.
The brand's collection featured lots of fur, leather and tulle this season. A dress that grabbed our attention was an outerwear that featured a black mesh design on the torso region with fur flowers below the hips. Worn over a plain white shirt with see through tulle sleeves and solid white cuffs and an off white skirt the creation looked extremely classy and unique.
The skirts were mostly kept simple in darker shades paired with white shirts and tops that reminded one of a school uniform but the ensemble was brought together with stylish waistcoats worn over the shirt.
Valentino's RTW collection also featured leather skirts and coats. And pieces that caught our eyes were an off white and gray dress and a stunning black dress. The gray dress was figure hugging till the waist and dramatically flared out below the knees.
The black dress was kept simple chic with minimal styling but the fabric suited the design perfectly.
Valentino stuck to simple styles this season and simplicity exuded even in the models' hair and makeup. With almost bare faced looks, the models flaunted simple fish tail braids.
