Taylor Swift and Harry Styles did not split on amicable terms, but as the 23-year-old Swift recently told Vanity Fair, she had to dump Styles because she felt he 'was looking at every girl.'
An unnamed friend also told Vanity Fair on Swift's behalf that the One Direction singer was trying to date Taylor for over a year, then "wore her down," they "got really close" and then he was photographed making out with another girl. A rep for Styles told the magazine this was "undeniably false."

Depending on who you talk to, Swift is either the bubbly, but always heartbroken girl who turns to her music to vent or a clingy girlfriend who obsesses over breakups and writing mean songs about her ex's. The way she sees it, the tabloids have her whole image wrong.
"I'm sick of the tabloids saying I obsess over guys," Swift said. "Why would you obsess over guys? They don't like it."
Another rumor about the singer's attachment issues stems from the idea that she likes to buy houses near by her boyfriends. Vanity Fair reported that she did buy a house in Hyannis Port (since sold to someone else) not far from ex Conor Kennedy's family home.
"People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like—that's a thing that I apparently do," Swift said. "If I like you I will apparently buy up the real-estate market just to freak you out so you leave me. Like that makes sense, like that's something you should do."
She also added: "Everybody in these tabloidy gossipy blogs, they think they have you pegged, like 'Taylor's boy-crazy'...For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her...that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist."
