Leonardo DiCarpio was not nominated for his role in director Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and while co-star Christoph Waltz picked up the award for Best Supporting Actor and director Quentin Tarantino left with an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, "The Wolf of Wall Street" star skipped out so that he could get the proper rest for a reshoot in LA. One that was on a docked yacht brimming with beautiful, bikini-clad women ready to shoot. I'd get my beauty rest, too.
The 38-year-old was in white pants wearing sunglasses with slicked-back hair for his role in the upcoming Martin Scorcese film as Jordan Belfort, a real-life stockbroker who refused to cooperate in a Wall Street fraud case in the 1980s. Five women joined DiCaprio on set, including co-star Margot Robbie, who was dressed in a plunging gold one-piece bathing suit. Robbie plays Belfort's second wife, Nadine. Dicaprio even got in a nice kiss for the cameras— so not a bad overall day.
DiCaprio, who will also be staring in Baz Lurhmann's "The Great Gatsby" this summer, will be taking a hiatus from acting after the filming concludes for "The Wolf of Wall Street." In an interview with an outlet in Germany, ABS-CBN, DiCaprio explained his motive.
"I am a bit drained. I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out. I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment."
"The Wolf of Wall Street" is in post-production is set to be released sometime later this year.
